exchange program
available to other waldorf students
As an extension of your language education, you may apply for our International Exchange program, which will send you abroad for an immersive cultural and linguistic experience lasting 3-4 months. We typically arrange exchanges between our students and those in Spanish- or German-speaking Waldorf schools, though students who choose to pursue an independent study in another language may also apply to the program. Once we find you an exchange partner, you’ll travel to their country, where you’ll be hosted by that student and their family. When your time abroad ends, you will host your partner here at CWHS.
Students interested in our German exchange may contact Ashley Gambill. Students interested in our Spanish exchange may contact Montse Aguero.
guest student program
available to other waldorf students
The Guest Student Program is open to high school students who are currently enrolled at another Waldorf school in their home country. Stays are a minimum of three months and may last up to one full semester.
Once admission is offered, we will support the student visa application process (I-20 form) and work to identify a host family within our school community. While host family arrangements cannot be guaranteed, we will do our best to make a thoughtful match.
Guest Students pay a reduced tuition rate of $1,500 per month and, if applicable, a host family fee of $1,200 per month. Flights, SEVIS processing fees, and any school trip fees are the responsibility of the Guest Student’s family.
To apply, students should begin by creating an account in our school portal and completing the online high school Guest Student application form, which is available through the “APPLY” button on our website.

Applications from students living abroad are warmly welcomed!
Some international students choose to attend our school full time for a year, or for the full course of our Grade School, Middle School and High School programs. We value the diversity of our international students who bring their cultural experiences, social histories and fresh viewpoints to our school community ⎯ all benefiting the classroom experience and strengthening the diversity of our school community.
We offer international students the option for enrollment for a full academic year or longer. Interested international applicants are encouraged contact Laura Grenholm to determine if there are openings available for entering your preferred academic year. If accepted for enrollment, an I-20 visa petition will be sent to the applicant. While not able to guarantee host-family placement, we will work to find a match.
Please note: There is no financial aid available to international students.
